Nakashima Inspired Dining/Lounge Chair

In this 6-day class, the students will be building either a dining or lounge chair, up to their choice. Taeho will have jigs and templates ready for both chairs and cover lectures on them as well. Whichever one students pick, after they learn how to build it, they should be able to build the other one as well. This project provides much learning experience on building a perfect chair; this class will give students a great amount of knowledge on not only building chairs but pure woodworking as well.

George Nakashima was a huge inspiration to Taeho’s woodworking career during his apprenticeship years, and still is today. Taeho does not hesitate to admire Nakashima’s designs and gets motivation from his woodworking skills and knowledge.
